Who we are & where we're going

Company Growth and Future
To succeed in the farming business, you have to have great employees, keep up with modern farming techniques, and not be afraid to invest in new technologies.
We believe this is what has made Glenn Heard Farms a continued success. Over the next 10 years, our plan is to continue growing while maintaining the excellence we have achieved so far.
Our History
A successful and thriving business
Today, GHF has 46 employees and farms over 18,000 acres in Baker, Decatur, Miller, and Seminole counties.
GHF grows mostly row crops including cotton, field corn, grain sorghum, peanuts, and wheat. We also grows vegetables including carrots and sweet corn.
Humblebeginnings
Glenn Heard Farms began in 1980. Glenn began farming as a third generation farmer and started farming in Decatur County, Georgia, with 360 acres.
His initial crops were field corn, peanuts and soybeans. He ran the farm alone but in the next several years he added several employees and acreage.
Growth & Opportunities

At GHF, we're always open to the idea of partnerships and cooperatives with either individuals or other companies.
“Our ability to work in partnership with other farms has been a big part of our company’s success. We welcome more opportunities to grow with future partnerships.“
GHF has joined with other farms to form these partnerships; Sweet Corn Co-Op, Cloverleaf Cotton Gin, and American Peanut Growers Group.
I am seeking to purchase or lease new land. I would consider going to new areas under the right situation. We can take undeveloped land and improve it by adding irrigation, clearing woods and rocks, implementing conservation measures and other improvements. All of this would be at no cost to the landowner. References can be provided.
